Steelers jerseys
The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional American football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They are currently a member of the North Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League. Founded in 1933, the Steelers are the oldest franchise in the AFC. Pittsburgh has won more Super Bowl titles (6), won more AFC Championship Games (7) and hosted more conference championship games (10) than any other AFC or NFC team. They have played in more AFC conference championship games than any other team and are tied with the Dallas Cowboys with 14 championship game appearances in either the NFC or AFC contests. With the exception of the 1960’s which featured only three Super Bowls, the Steelers have appeared in at least one Super Bowl in every decade of the contest. The Steelers are the current National Football League champions, having won Super Bowl XLIII on February 1, 2009.
The fifth-oldest franchise in the NFL, the Steelers jerseys were founded as the Pittsburgh Pirates on July 8, 1933, by Art Rooney.[1] The ownership of the Steelers jerseys has remained within the Rooney family since its founding.[2] The current owner is Art’s son, Dan Rooney, who has given much control of the franchise to his son Art Rooney II.
The team enjoys a large, widespread fanbase nicknamed Steeler Nation[3] and currently play their home games in Heinz Field on Pittsburgh’s North Side, which also hosts the University of Pittsburgh Panthers. Built in 2001, the stadium replaced Three Rivers Stadium which hosted the Steelers jerseys for 31 seasons. Prior to Three Rivers, the Steelers jerseys had played their games in Pitt Stadium and Forbes Field.
The Pittsburgh Steelers jerseys of the NFL first took to the field as the Pittsburgh Pirates on September 20, 1933, losing 23–2 to the New York Giants.[4] It was under the ownership of Gregory Taylor from Lewis Center, OH. Through the 1930s, the Pirates never finished higher than second place in their division, or with a record better than 0.500 (1936).[5] Pittsburgh did make history in 1938 by signing Byron White, a future Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, to what was at the time the biggest contract in NFL history,[6] but he played only one year with the Pirates before signing with the Detroit Lions.[7] Prior to the 1940 season, the Pirates renamed themselves the Steelers.
During World War II, the Steelers jerseys experienced player shortages. They twice merged with other NFL franchises to field a team. During the 1943 season, they merged with the Philadelphia Eagles forming the “Phil-Pitt Eagles” and were known as the “Steagles.” This team went 5–4–1. In 1944, they merged with the Chicago Cardinals and were known as Card-Pitt (or, mockingly, as the “Carpets”).[6] This team finished 0–10, marking the only winless team in franchise history.[8]
The Steelers jerseys made the playoffs for the first time in 1947, tying for first place in the division at 8–4 with the Philadelphia Eagles. This forced a tie-breaking playoff game at Forbes Field, which the Steelers jerseys lost 21–0.[9] That would be Pittsburgh’s only playoff game for 25 years, though the Steelers jerseys did qualify for a “Playoff Bowl” in 1963 as the second-best team in their conference, though not considered an official playoff.[10]
In 1970, the year they moved into Three Rivers Stadium and the year of the AFL-NFL merger, the Pittsburgh Steelers jerseys were one of three old-guard NFL teams to switch to the newly-formed American Football Conference (the others being the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Colts), in order to equalize the number of teams in the two conferences of the newly-merged league.

Prepare For Hockey Season With Nhl Jerseys

Prepare For Hockey Season With Nhl Jerseys
Finally the hockey season is upon us once again and every fan can feel alive again. I just love it so much and when the puck drops I will be watching.

Is there really any better time in professional ice hockey than the winter when the NHL really kicks into high gear? There is no more exciting build up than the race to the Stanley Cup playoffs in the spring, when the bitterest of rivals go toe to toe every night to determine who wins the Western Conference and who axes the Eastern Conference?

To be prepared for this excitement, the best way is by getting your NHL jerseys out of your closet. This is what hockey fans do when they prepare and now it’s serious.

Your official favorite teams jersey is only the best way to show your love and get into the action. To many it is also the only true way to show support for your team.

So, you better get out and find yourself a few NHL jerseys as fast as possible. You could start your search at the top hockey good stores near your house. Better yet, stay in the warmth and comfort of your own home. Turn on your computer and hook onto the Web. Then surf to your favorite on line ice hockey store and order your brand spanking new jersey for your favorite team. There are a ton of on line stores selling NHL jerseys, the best, of course, are Hockey Monkey, Hockey Giant and Ice Jerseys.

Just like in any sport, the NHL counts on fans like you to wear your NHL jerseys to show your allegiance to your favorite team or teams. Big teams like the New York Rangers and the Detroit red Wings and less popular teams teams like the Carolina Hurricanes and the Nashville Predators alike need your support.

NHL jerseys are the top way to proudly show your loyalty to these squads. When you make it to a game in your official team jersey, you make a bold claim as one of your team’s top fans. You know how these jerseys can pump up a crowd. You’ve seen and felt the instantaneous friendships that are born when two strangers wear the same jersey to the game. For those sixty minutes of intense hockey, you are brothers.

NHL jerseys can do that. Of course, they do a lot more, too. They just look cool. Whether you’re on a date at the movies, or out to dinner with your folks, you look too slick in your blue and white, or your red and white. With your favorite player’s name on the back, you can’t be beat. Better yet, show yourself to be the true player by putting your own name on the back.

I have friends that have their name stitched on the back of their jerseys and it is just so cool. Besides, I’ve never taken them for anything less than true NHL fans. This is how I like it and it’s what hockey should be like.

How to Stop Excessive Sweating

How to Stop Excessive Sweating
If you are some one who is constantly bothered by those prying eyes on you because of excessive sweating and you haven’t still found an answer as to how to stop excessive sweating then this article shall provide you with an insight on the measures to stop excessive sweating.
excessive sweating, as we all know, can be a source of major embarrassment in your social circle. What makes it worse is the fact that you can’t share this particular problem with many feeling at ease at the same time because of fear or prejudices that people may have about your personal hygiene after you share such problem with them. Besides being afraid to confide and share your problem , excessive sweating may also lead to body odor and may end up spoiling the clothes that you wear. So now the next big question that remains is how to stop excessive sweating?
Well, to begin with natural measures are always advisable, since they have a long lasting effect, are cheap and may not even have any side effect on your body. That means balancing your diet and lessening the ingredients in your food intake or totally eliminating consuming such ingredients in your diet that are primarily related to excessive sweating, for example onions. On the other hand it also means including those ingredients in your diet that will lead to lessening of the sweating. Cut down on the caffeine intake and you’ll see desirable change. Application of the talcum powder to certain parts of the body also is an advisable step. Meditation, healthy lifestyle and proper exercises can also prove to be effective. You can even work on cutting down on the stress levels through yoga. Wear light colored and lose clothes so that you are comfortable and don’t feel hot and sweaty. Also, wearing cotton clothes is advisable. Don’t do hard work under direct sun light. Lastly, try losing weight because extra fat is obviously a culprit in this matter also. Make sure to have a lot of water intake because water will decrease toxins in your blood.
Although the effect of the natural measures is long lasting and relatively permanent it is a slow process and one might lose interest in the middle of pursuing such ways and means. So, the next best thing is pursuing medical measures. The medical word for excessive sweating in the underarms is axillary hyperhidrosis. There are several medical remedies available to combat excessive sweating such as antiperspirants or lontophoresis. In the excessive cases It is unnecessary for you to worry about that you will be looked down upon by other people when you fake watches, because we have different social background.you can use botox and the ETS, endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy. But before trying ETS medical advice is recommended. Various deodorants can also be put to use for killing the body odor. Use the one’s with high levels of aluminium chloride.
In most instances natural treatment alone can take care of this problem, which is cheap, effective, long lasting and free from side effects. However in very severe cases a combination of both natural and oral medication To buy a GHD is the most effective way to keep your hair straight and shiny.such as prescribed by a medical doctor is necessary. If you follow these normal instructions in your day to day life you are bound not to be troubled by the question, how to stop excessive sweating, again.

THE THIRTIES - HOW MANY CUBS JERSEYS?

THE THIRTIES - HOW MANY CUBS JERSEYS?

From 1930-1936, the Cubs experimented with a series of alternate cubs jersey designs for both home and road. The 1930-31 home alternates revived pin stripes and another variation of the C-UBS emblem on the front. The 1932-33 alternates continued to pin striping but in place of the usual insignia on the jersey a slanted script treatment of CUBS was displayed in navy and red. The red wishbone C on the cap was replaced by a white fancy capital C. The alternate road counterpart for these years had a slanted script CHICAGO across the chest and a smaller script CUBS on the left sleeve (once again the full team name spelled out). The 1934 home alternates used a refreshing new version of the team insignia on the left breast — the larger red & navy C embodied a serif style and the bearcub figure inside the C had abandoned the bat and assumed a pitcher’s windup motion (or is it a gesture of triumph?). The same style C appeared in red with a white outline on the navy blue cap. The 1935-36 alternate road cubs jersey displayed CHICAGO across the chest in straight horizontal fancy capital letters (not the usual “arc” alignment).

For the 1937 season, Mr. Wrigley decided it was time for a totally new image for the Cub cubs jerseys. He delegated his own corporate design staff for the project and they responded with some novel ideas. Most importantly, the standard navy blue was replaced by a brighter “electric” blue. The new jerseys abandoned the buttoned front in favor of a ZIPPER — an idea that caught on quickly with other clubs and remained popular for over 2 decades. Instead of the usual thin beads of embroidered piping, thick striping of solid blue or red (on the road) was incorporated around the neck and parallel to the zipper as well as on the sleeve ends and trouser sides. The 3 red stripes on the stocking were lowered closer to the ankle for more visibility. On the home cubs jersey, the original version of the CUBS emblem (with a circular C) was resurrected from the distant past — except this time the C was solid red with a blue outline. On the traveling grays, the striping trim was RED and did not follow down the zipper line. The name CHICAGO was re-done in solid blue plain block capitals and was underlined with an arc of red striping. Except for the change in shade of blue, the cap theme stayed the same — a red C (not “wishbone” at first) on a solid blue cap. As if to “finish off” the new design idea for 1938, a shoulder stripe was added on both home and road suits. Also, the “wishbone” style C was restored on the cap. Despite hard times, the thirties were exciting years for Cub fans — 3 pennants, but no cigar!

How Air Jordan Made Nike The Most Popular Athletic Shoe Company

How Air Jordan Made Nike The Most Popular Athletic Shoe Company

Before 1984 Nike had absolutely no credit in the basketball world, in fact it faced jeopardy from the fast paced sportswear market in general. They basically needed a way in which to reinvent themselves in order to appeal to the market once again, which is how the business relationship with Michael Jordan first came about. Nike saw an opportunity in Jordan and as a result signed a $2.5 million deal with him for five years; Nike now stands as the most popular athletic shoe company in existence.

Since its first release back in 1985 there have continually been new designs of the Air Jordan Athletic shoe released each year, even after Jordan retired from basketball. However when the first shoe was released back in 1985, things didn’t start out so smoothly and the release turned the athletic shoe industry upside down with some people praising its release while for others it caused nothing but controversy. This attention soon became clear as many companies were starting to imitate the design in their own releases.

The designers responsible for the Air Jordans take aspects of Michael Jordans life, ideas and hobbies into account when producing the athletic shoes and as a result there are over 24 different models available. This offers an array of style, color and design for you to take advantage of; so basically with the amount of choice that is open to you, the Air Jordan makes the perfect shoe to be worn not just on the basketball court but also on a daily basis as well.

Each of the new Air Jordans that are created each push the boundaries of style and technology, an example of this can be seen within the third version of this athletic shoe that was created. This was designed by Tinker Hatfield and was the first within this product line to feature a visible air unit on the heel, similar to that of the Nike Air Max. Also within this version of the shoe, it was the first to feature the famous Jumpman logo. Out of all the sneakers that were produced within this brand it is this version that is said to be the favorite of Michael Jordan; in fact he wore this version during the 1988 Dunk Championship, which he went on to win along with many other historical events during his career. This shoe is definitely one of the most famous within the Air Jordan series.

The most recent release within this lineup comes curtsy of the Air Jordan 2009, which represents a sports shoe that uses technology known as Articulated Propulsion Technology, which is based around the carbon fiber prosthetic running technology. It is this increase in technology and the advancements that have come with it as well as Michael Jordans input that has pushed Nike to be the most popular Athletic Shoe Company in society today, a title that looks like its going to get stronger as more and more shoes are created and released.

Show That You Are A Hockey Fan With Your New Nhl Jersey

Show That You Are A Hockey Fan With Your New Nhl Jersey

This is an article dedicated to true fans of the National Hockey League and it’s about how important sport and ice hockey can be in a man’s life. It will also tell you why you need that jersey you always wanted to buy…

Most likely the National Hockey League rules your life. You have your favorite players like Jagr and Modano, or you might even be a Sidney Crosby. Perhaps you are from Edmonton and think that Ryan Smythe is the best player in the whole wide world. If you’re from Toronto Darcy Tucker might not be beat in your book. Or maybe you are one of the few that can’t get enough of the Eric Staal guy.

Whatever NHL players and teams you root for, you most likely can’t wait until those nights when you can sit back in your couch with a cold one (or two) and get hypnotized for a full sixty minute game of pure adrenaline and speed.

You even get decked out in the latest National Hockey League gear for your favorite team. How about that? You have your Jagr signed stick and your New York Rangers hat on. Your kid is on the carpet with his miniature stick and you are hoping (in silence) that he one day will make it all the way to the show. You have all dreams and National Hockey League merchandise you can handle, but do you have your NHL jersey yet? A NHL jersey most likely can complete your collection.

Just like other hockey merchandise, a NHL jersey makes a solid statement to friends, loved ones, and strangers that you are nothing but one big National Hockey League fan. They’ll know then that you know who won every scoring title since the golden days when Eddie Shore was still playing this game. And they’ll know exactly where to find you come game night: planted in front of your television watching the action from that week’s conference battles with a cold one in your hand.

More importantly, your NHL jersey is top quality and goes well with all of your other National Hockey League gear. It’s great with your NHL sweatshirts, official team jackets, hats, posters, models, and everything else you have hanging around your house, your car, your boat, and your office that says that you’re a fan of the National Hockey League .

Maybe you should buy one or two more of your favorite NHL jerseys. You never can tell when you’ll need to wear a different. There are tailgates, hockey games and picnics with your family. . .the list of places where you can show off your favorite hockey jersey is endless.

I know that not everyone is a hockey fanatic, but it’s actually quite hard to call yourself a hockey fan if you don’t have your own NHL jersey from your favorite team. This is your wake up call.

The Rise And Fall Of Throwback Jerseys

The Rise And Fall Of Throwback Jerseys

In the sports fashion world, retro is, or at least have been, king. Who was the king-maker? Potential candidates would include Big Boi, and Dre. But it wasn’t until Puff Daddy wore throwbacks at the 2002 American Music Awards the craze really took off.

Of course that wasn’t the first anyone had heard of throwbacks, celebrities such as Spike Lee were wearing Mitchell & Ness throwbacks back in 1990. However it was the late 1990s, before anyone really noticed. Early favorites were Hank Aaron’s 1974 Atlanta Braves jersey and the Houston Astros’ 1988 rainbow design.

The reigning king maker however is none of the men we’ve mentioned. The King Maker was Peter Capolino, owner of Mitchell & Ness. As a company, Mitchell & Ness has been around since 1904. They haven’t always been in the business of throwbacks .

M&N began it’s life as a sports manufacturer, primarily golf clubs. By 1925, however, the company got out of the golf business and ventured into athletic uniforms for the first time. But it also went into ski equipment, and a host of other directions. It’s lack of direction cost them dearly and in the early 1980s it almost went bankrupt. They had diversified into too many areas.

Scaling back his business, Capolino moved into a smaller storefront. In the storeroom of the new location he found what would go on to change the focus of his company, and his own life for good. Stored away in the new shop, and left behind by it’s previous tennants were crates of old magazines, many with pictures of old sports uniforms.

About this time, a change was happening in the NBA and in hip hop culture. For years the league was dominated by a guy named Michael, who had a very mainstream, good-guy image. As his notable star began to fall, another generation of athletes took center stage. Not mainstream, and intent on leaving their own mark on the game, this generation was typified by bad boy Allan Iverson. He of tatooes, attitude, and a hip hop fashion trend called retro. The NBA was quick to capitolize on this new fad, in an attempt to breath some life into a league that had suffered from a work stoppage in 1998.
The fad peaked in 2003, and throughout 2004 sales began to steadily decline. By that point though, Mitchell and Ness had been joined in the arena by every manufacturer of sports gear on the planet. Nike, Adidas, Reebok, and a host of illegal M&N knock-offs, appeared on the scene.

For the true fan however, a vintage jersey will always be a collectors item, irrespective of whether it is in fashion or not.

Binoculars Are Great Gifts For Kids

Binoculars Are Great Gifts For Kids

I am amazed at how kids today are so much more focused than I was. I have many good friends with children, their ages ranging anywhere from 4 to 12. Many of these kids participate in grueling sports regimens that involve traveling hundreds of miles away every other week end for some tournament or other. Whether it’s baseball, soccer, or dancing, these kids don’t do anything half way. These same kids are just as focused and competitive when it comes to playing games on Play Station, Xbox, Wii, and whatever other platforms that may exist. Whether it’s Tiger Woods Golf, MLB Baseball, or Guitar Hero-these kids really get really obsessed with these games.

I do believe that sports does provide a discipline and focus that otherwise could not be learned. And yes, the skills learned playing these games are transcending; and enable them to know so much more about the internet and soft ware design than I could imagine. However, with this information and sports overload, where is there time for children to really appreciate nature and the great outdoors? When was the last time a child you know came in from outside and said, “I just spotted a Red Breasted Nuthatch?” This article discusses how just a simple pair of binoculars will benefit children by exposing them to nature, exploration, and a whole other side of being outdoors.

Binoculars are great for spectator sports. Many young sports fans love to attend baseball games, football games, etc. with their parents, grandparents, uncle, etc. Kids just love to view their sport heroes up close. They are completely fascinated with the close-ups because other than meeting the players personally, this is as close as they are going to get. Similarly, many boys and girls love to attend rock concerts. My seven year old niece recently brought a pair of Carson Mini Binoculars to a Miley Cyrus concert and couldn’t stop raving about viewing her through the binoculars! They just make spectator events a little more fun for kids.

If you do decide to buy binoculars for a child you know, my recommendation would be an inexpensive compact design. Since kids have smaller faces, compacts will be more suitable for kids because their “interpupillary distance” (distance between the pupils of the eyes) measurements are much smaller than those of full size binoculars. I also do not recommend spending much more than $100 since kids tend to punish their binoculars more than most adults. Wait a while before you start spending the big bucks. Brand-wise, I like the Leupold Yosemite 6X30 or Leupold Yosemite 8×30 models. Carson Optical also has some great mini / compact binoculars that are built exclusively for kids.

Nhl Hockey Jerseys For You And Your Hockey Loving Friends

Nhl Hockey Jerseys For You And Your Hockey Loving Friends

NHL jerseys are among the hottest things on the North American market right now. Even professional European hockey jerseys are gaining fast in popularity. Whether you are wearing NHL jerseys from the old days of the National Hockey League or from you present favorite NHL or AHL team, you’ll be on the right track for looking good.

You can, as many already do, pay the high price tag for your NHL jersey at your local hockey goods store or (if you are smart) save a bundle at on line sporting and hockey goods sites. Today there is actually a huge supply of hockey stores on line which all sell quality NHL merchandise.

NHL jerseys are possibly the top clothing accessory out there and a favorite among many hockey fans. The older jerseys are also legends from a bygone era. They represent all of our NHL heroes that you can only see on ESPN Classics these days. These NHL players lived a simpler life and played in a simpler era as well, when drug tests, court cases, and other distracting and disturbing action weren’t a part of the game of hockey. Also, these things just look darn good.

Whether you’re getting the old Winnipeg Jets jersey with the rainbow stripes, or an old Atlanta Flames one, they both have the old-school style to make you stand out in the crowd at a hockey game.

Whether your jersey is from the AHL or NHL, jerseys also will help you show your appreciation to your favorite teams. Hockey jerseys are the best way to display your loyalty proudly and loudly to these squads. And these jerseys can pump up a crowd when you wear one to the game. Every hockey fan in the NHL knows this.

Finally a brief reminder, don’t forget those minor hockey jerseys from the AHL and Europe. Thanks to the rising popularity of ice hockey, those professional Europeans and AHL clubs will fight for your attention. In fact, European and Russian hockey jerseys are among the fastest selling collectibles in sports.

Don’t expect to get much love if you wear your NHL jersey into the enemy’s arena at game night. In these cases your favorite jersey can actually become dangerous if you’re in one of the more fanatic NHL towns like Detroit, Philadelphia or Toronto. Then wear your hockey jersey at your own risk, and have a change of outfit in case things gets tough at the game!

The lesson learned and what all fans should know, is that it’s a fan’s duty to have a hockey jersey from his favorite NHL team. What would it look like if fans didn’t dress up for the games?
